Privacy policy

The short version: you don't need an account, except to post in the community. Your photos and cards stay on your phone unless you choose to share them. We keep a random ID for your install so features like Premium work, show ads through Google AdMob (with your consent where the law requires it), and you can delete everything at any time.

This policy explains how MAGNATE Inc. (“we”) handles information in the FC Card Creator app for Android and iOS and on this website.

What we collect

Your photos and cards

Photos you add are processed on your phone: background removal uses Apple's or Google's on-device technology, and nothing is uploaded to us. Your cards are stored on your device. They only leave your phone when you save or share them yourself, or when you post a card to the in-app community. A posted card is re-encoded on our server (removing any hidden metadata), checked by a moderator, and then visible to other users of the app.

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Where required (for example in the EU, UK and Switzerland) we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. On iPhone, we only ask for tracking permission if you're 16 or older. Premium removes all ads.

Children

The app asks for an age range when you first open it and doesn't store your date of birth. If you're under 13, ads are not personalised and are limited to content suitable for children, we don't ask for tracking permission, and you can't post to the community. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what's described here. Parents can delete a child's data at any time (see below).

Sharing

We don't sell your information. We share it only with the services that run the app for us: our own server, Google (AdMob, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Play) and Apple (App Store). Each handles it under their own privacy terms.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Delete my data. This removes your install ID and everything linked to it from our server straight away.
Without the app: use the delete-data page.
Deleting the app removes your cards and photos from your phone.

To cancel Premium, manage your subscription in the App Store or Google Play; deleting your data doesn't cancel it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Server access is restricted and protected with strong authentication.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
